Today was our first day of class, we met for Exploring the Olympics through Literature and Music at 1pm, to find out that Laura and I are the only two people taking it. Our professors are really nice, we have one for english and one for music. The first half is Literature and the second half is Music. We were given a stack of reading for the Lit portion that is an inch thick. I'm actually really glad to get it because reading it will give me something to do. I think we are trying to go to the movie tonight because we need some entertainment. Mom is supposed to be calling in about 15 minutes and I don't really have anything else to add, so I will write more later. ~Rachel

Tonight we went to see Mr. & Mrs. Smith at the rooftop theatre in Plaka, it was really really good. The reviews I read said it was horrible but I loved it. The theatre was really cool, you could see the Acropolis and it was all lit up after dark and was so pretty. We're going to try and go back one night to walk around to see all of it. Tomorrow we're going to register at the US Embassy so that they know we're here in case anything happens. We have class at 1 and then we're going to take the metro to the big grocery store at 3. Wednesday night, Placido Domingo is in concert at the Theatre of Herodes Atticus at the Acropolis and a couple of us are going to try and get tickets-it would be so amazing to see him perform there-or even perform at all. We figured that if we can't get tickets we'll just stand outside and listen from there. It's midnight here and we have to get up early so I will finish for now, but there will be more tomorrow. ~Rachel
