YARDSALE madness has commenced.

Granny and Aunt Linda arrived last night to help with the packing/organizing/selling process and we started bright and early this morning.

Yesterday, Sonia came over and we hung out for awhile.  She helped me cook dinner for them, and then stayed to eat and watch Sabrina.  Twas fun to see her again and hear about all her travels; Spain sounds uber-cool.

Today I have to go help madre hang the new gallery show at the Wheeler building-it should only take about an hour with the both of us working-and then we're back here for more packing and sorting.  The yardsale starts tomorrow at the crack of dawn, dad's coming over to help, and maddre is insisting that we each take a shift.  I'm hoping to dig up enough stuff to make a little money-as anything will help right now.  I'm getting rid of a lot of clothes, shoes, purses, cds, and random junk (i.e. my extremely unique sand art collection).  I also have about 4 years worth of magazines in here that make it apparent that I have probably personally decimated an entire amazonian rainforest.  I'm never buying magazines again.

Off to do a decent day's work.

I made $27 at the yardsale today.

I haven't decided if it was worth all the work/exhaustion/drama.

I'm leaving in 4 days.

Definitely not ready.

Madre's going to have to lay off the projects.

Time for bed.

There are certain people you just keep coming back to
She is right in front of you
You begin to wonder could you find a better one
Compared to her now she's in question

And all at once the crowd begins to sing
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same

Maybe you want her maybe you need her
Maybe you started to compare to someone not there

Looking for the right one you line up the world to find
Where no questions cross your mind
But she won't keep on waiting for you without a doubt
Much longer for you to sort it out

And all at once the crowd begins to sing
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same

Maybe you want her maybe you need her
Maybe you started to compare to someone not there
Maybe you want it maybe you need it,
Maybe it's all you're running from,
Perfection will not come

And all at once the crowd begins to sing
Sometimes
We'd never know what's wrong without the pain
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same

Maybe you want her maybe you need her
Maybe you've started to compare to someone not there
Maybe you want it maybe you need it
Maybe it's all you're running from
Perfection will not come

Maybe you want her maybe you need her
Maybe you had her maybe you lost her to another
To another

Can it really be June 5th already?

I'm leaving in 3 days and aside from having purchased my plane ticket, I haven't done a thing to get ready for Athens.  I just finished coloring my hair-its a darker shade of brown now.  This afternoon we have to go to the post office to mail my check and then hopefully make a Target run to get some last minute stuff.

Tomorrow I am spending the afternoon with Sonia-we're scrapbooking, getting wings for lunch, and then getting pedicures.  I'm excited.

Wednesday will be the crazy packing day, so I need to get everything washed, bought, and layed out to pack by then.  My flight doesn't leave until 2 on Thursday so I should hopefully have a relaxing morning-possibly breakfast at the Pancake House as a farewell meal.

I really want to go see The Break Up before I leave, so I might have to work that in sometime.

For now I'm going to go dry my hair and see how this color turned out.  Then I'm going to get dressed and find some lunch, and hopefully motivate Madre to get up and run errands.

Today was fun!

Caitlin and I got up and went to Sahm's Pool for a bit this morning-it was hot and we were both burnt so we only stayed about an hour and a half.  Then we ran a few errands-I booked a massage for tomorrow, then stopped in Starbucks to say hi to Sonia and get refreshments, then we went to Target to pick up the rest of the stuff I need.  I ended up getting a photo printer-its compact so I can bring it with me.

After our shopping escapade, Caitlin dropped me at home and I got ready for my afternoon out with Sonia.  I treated her to mani-pedi's for her birthday (belated) and then we had dinner at Puccinni's and drinks at Starbucks.  Then we came back to the house and I got to see her pictures from Spain, which were v. cool.  I've never really been interested in going there before but it looks really pretty.

I spent the rest of the evening watching tv with madre in her room and playing tennis online.  I'm addicted.  Its quite sad.  The game on Wimbledon's (the movie) website is really fun.  And I've gotten surprisingly good at it (but only if I play the junior level).

Tomorrow is going to be busy.  I've got a massage at 10:15, then Caitlin and I are going downtown to look at two houses Mom likes, and then I have to come back here and pack.  I still need to make a Barnes & Noble run because I have no journal, no phrasebook (mine is missing), and I need to get a copy of the Greece DK Guidebook (they are fantastic).  I'm supposed to have dinner with Dad sometime before I leave, but we haven't scheduled anything yet, and hopefully I'll get to go to church tomorrow night, but it all depends on whether or not Caitlin can give me a ride.

I can't believe I'm leaving in a little over 36 hours.
