on Greece and cheese
Monday, June 11, 2012 at 08:17AM I went to Greece:
There was much feta and sandal shopping and gelato. I came home with a suitcase full of Korres products and honey.
There was also some Acropolis gazing:
It took two weeks, but I'm finally over the jet-lag and settling back in to normal. The kitchen is full of handmade food once again after a cooking marathon Sunday.
I made cheese! For the first time. It was so simple and fast - I have a feeling there will be LOTS more ricotta this summer. And mozzarella as soon as I can make the trek to Whole Foods for rennet. Slippery slope! Next thing you know, I'll be pricing home cheese presses on Amazon.
I added fresh basil from the backyard - and will be making some sort of creamy cheesey pasta dish later this week. YUM.
More Greece photos and random food ramblings to come.

Cheese! Did you use an online recipe, or from a book - I'd love to make small batches since we never use up a whole container and I want to waste less.
